Todd Day Wait writes, records and performs in mediums such as blues, folk, country, gospel, rock, soul, jam, reggae, psychedelic and funk. He has been establishing his presence professionally for five years, accumulating over 400 live show experiences and releasing two albums with East Ash Street Band.
Starting to work nationally in 2009, he formed Pigpen. Playing his original songs, songs of the past and jams of the future, Todd Day Wait’s Pigpen is comprised of a rotating line-up of professional musicians from around the country.


Look to the music and you will find inspiration. That’s my approach to songwriting and to life.  I play predominantly a mix of North American music that has melted together to become its own entity. No one owns it. It lays itself down and you can draw from it in a similar way that folk, blues, country, jazz, gospel and the happenings of the time paved the way to rock and roll. It is a cycle that has bent itself to form modern day North American music.

I draw from the stories of folk, the raw feelings of the blues, simplicity in country, the spirit of gospel, the power of rock, the rhythm of reggae, improvisational through jam, the distinctive look of pyschedelic and the body movin’ music of Memphis soul and New Orleans funk.
